Gas furnace tuneup on a 90% furnace . Checked the air filter and found good . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages . Flushed the drain lines and furnace traps and inspected the condensate pump. Inspected the burners and flame sensors and cleaned . Inspected the flue pipes for leaks and bellies. checked the thermostat in heating mode and checked the gas pressures and the furnace safeties. checked the motor amps on the inducer operation and blower motors. Took indoor heat temp rise and tested for combustion on the system. The furnace is in good working order at this time of service.
Found 60A double pole GE breaker for Air handler tripped. I noticed a few lights flickered in house before I reset tripped breaker. There was also a minor popping sound when I went to put breaker panel cover back on. I reset and tested system. The amp draw of the circuit for this breaker was 40€ which is normal. 20A on the other air handler breaker: Good After 5 minutes this breaker got hot to the touch. Need new 60A double pole breaker to replace this one. Breaker has failed. I would have an electrician do this consider the flickering lights. Discussed with Ann. She is going to contact an electrician ASAP. Left breaker off. Once breaker is replaced and panel issues are addressed we can tests system.
