Arrived to perform gas boiler tuneup. Upon arrival customer describe a problem he’s been having with relief leaking. Check operation of boiler check all safeties aquastat noticed there are using another aquastat on supply temperature pipe. Both Aqua stats were set to 200 Fahrenheit. Use my thermometer to check supply and return temperature as close as possible to the boiler and adjust temperature line aquastat to 180 Fahrenheit. With differential 165 F. During the tuneup, monitor water, pressure and temperature inspect expansion tank expansion tank has no air, but no water either. Relief pressure from the boiler to inspect expansion tank pressure added air to tank 15 psi. Test water feeder water feeder was not working. Had to add water manually in the same time. Inspect spiral vent spiral vent was not releasing any air. Recycle boiler couple times Boiler maintain pressure and temperature talk to customer about today and provide some recommendations replacement of expansion tank relief

Found no Power LED on boiler control Verified voltage to the board. Checked for any open switches/LWCO etc. none. Made estimate for replacing board. Mike agreed. Board is ordered from US supply to be shipped to the Coatesville US supply. NOTE: ADD a 3A fuse on low voltage side when we go back to replace board. We will return to replace board ASAP.

Performed Precision peco heat pump tune up on arcoaire 2007 r-22 heat pump system. Checked 20 x 25 x 1“ air filter OK. checked operation of emergency heat. Found evaporator coil very rusted and corroded. Performed leak search with leak detector across evaporator coil and showed homeowner found that evaporator coil was leaking or 22 refrigerant. Check temperature rise and found it to be low only 13° temperature rise. checked our 22 refrigerant pressures at outdoor unit and found them to be 155/34 psi. Explain to homeowner that we do not charge r-22 systems anymore. Also found some bacterial growth inside the air handler. Provided at UV Air purifier estimate. Recommended replacement of r-22 system. . Homeowner to call us when they make their decision.
