Performed tune up and cleaning on Weil McLain oil fired boiler. Disassembled entire boiler and brushed and vacuumed heat exchanger and entire chimney base, replaced filter, nozzle and strainer. Primed entire oil system and performed combustion analysis. Checked over entire system for leaks and ensured the aquastat shut off at desired set point. No issues with boiler at this time.
performed tuneup on York, gas furnace, checked combustion levels and gas pressures as well as changed filter and checked static across unit and temperature split. All related ignition components were checked cleaning flame sensor and checking hot surface igniter, blower motor inducer motor with both checked as well as heat exchanger was inspected, no issues with unit at this time
Performed tune up on amana gas, furnace, performed combustion analysis and checked all related ignition components including cleaning flame center cleaning drains and checking gas pressures, heat exchanger, and temperature split across unit. We’re both checked as well as blower motor and inducer motor pressure switches were checked as well as hot surface igniter and filter was changed. No issues with unit at this time.

Also found defective water heater expansion tank. Current expansion tank is not supported. Provided estimate to replace expansion tank and add support to it.
Performed two gas heater tune ups. Check electrical low and high voltage ok replaced filters. Clean sensors and inspect burners. Performed combustion test check airflow supply and return. Check static pressure on both units. Noticed first floor system exhaust pipe exceeds manufacturer recommendations 3 in calls for no more than 75 feet equivalent. Linear feet are 60 feet with 4 sweep elbows and two 45s. Total equivalent length is over 100 feet. Customer is aware this drain and vacuum issues could start happening in couple years not a problem as of right now, but this could be an issue in the following years. Provided estimate to install air purification system for both units.
Installed new tahm wire handler with 10kw heat kit and heat pump. Adapted return and supply. Tapped/ caulked return and supply. Ran new line set with line hide and adapted to new equipment. Adapted condensate line and installed new ez trap. Installed new trans thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Installed new trans heat pump on leveled pad with snow legs. Installed new disconnect with surge protector and wired into outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.

Cycle boiler and test water/temperature ok noticed relief valve spring is very hard to turn. also water feeder doesn’t feed water correctly. Provide estimate for those repairs. Perform tuneup on Bosch heat pump system, ran unit for a duration in emergency heat and checked heat strips and all associated electrical connections and motors. A split was taken across the coil and unit was switched over to heat pump mode went to the outdoor unit and checked all of the Readings off of the inverter board as well as inverter health motor amperage and refrigerant pressures filter was changed as well. No issues with unit at this time.
Completed (2) six month inspections (2) 80,000 BTU Trane Gas furnaces, Inspected all aspects of install, To make the gas line plumb we will need 36” 3/4 black iron nipple. (4) 3/4” elbows, assorted shorter nipples and a 12” 3/4” black iron nipple. Set heating fan speed to to 6 based on static pressure and capacity. Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components. Checked ignitor ohms value and verified flame rectification circuit. Confirmed manifold gas pressure. Gave tips about maintaining cleanliness of drain pans and pumps. Combustion and draft tests: Pass Homeowner would like to be able to use fan speed “2” for constant fan speed. You cannot do this using the control but it may be possible to switch the wires from the blower motor. Discussed and left email estimate for APCOX air treatment system. He may be interested in installing one for second floor. Both systems operating well at this time.

Completed plan member heat tune up for 4 ton Amanda communicating heat pump. ComfortNet thermostat. Filter and humidifier pad maintai by homeowner Inspected wiring and controls. 15KW electric heat amp draw 60A Good. Turned humidification on at thermostat; set point 35% RH. Positioned humidifier water feed valve properly. The armature for bypass damper broke off. It can still be opened and closed. I also used tape to keep it open. Thermostat was coming off wall. Anchored to stud with longer screw, thermostat now secure. Measured temperature rise and static pressure Refrigerant charge: Good Cleared drain and tested condensate pump. Added treatment tabs to pump. Left estimate for Aprilaire bypass humidifier. System is operating well at this time.
Completed 6 month inspection for Bosch inverter. Replaced Aprilaire 413 filter. Checked drain; gravity fed to sump Set auxiliary heat lockout to 35°F at Tatar configuration Measured temperature split in cooling and temperature rise in heat pump mode. Verified electric heat amp draw. Set up for 10KW. 40A Good indoor and outdoor coils in good condition Monitored amp draw of system. Verified refrigerant charge using outdoor control; Pressures 135/391 System operating well at this time. Homeowner paid for filter replacement today.
Perform precision heat tuneup on two heat pump systems. One Lennox heat pump, and one train heat pump system. Checked both air filters, both OK. Checked all electrical connections and components. Checked temperature rise on both systems. Tested out resistance heaters on both systems. Tested both capacitors. Check refrigerant pressures and temperatures at indoor and outdoor units found high side at almost 475 psi on train heat pump system. Train heat pump is a 2008 and explain to homeowner that it would not be worth repairing. Would recommend replacement of train heat pump system if any refrigerant issues would occur Possible outdoor TX not functioning correctly but is heating at this time. Both systems working at time of service installed ECM surge protector on Lennox air handler for variable speed blower motor.
Check up on a heat pump system. Checked the air filter and replaced . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages. Checked the thermostat in heating mode. Checked the amps for the blower amps and the operation. Performed an outdoor BTU output for the heat pump. Check the outdoor unit, wire connections and the voltages. Inspected the components and tested the amps draws for the compressor and the fan motor. The heat pump is in good working order.
Upon arrival for gas furnace maintenance I changed filter. Checked igniter and flame sensor. Checked heat exchanger and burners. Checked drain. Inspected blower motor and assembly. Checked delta t. Performed combustion test. Unit is in normal operation at this time.

Arrived to perform a heat pump maintenance. Changed filter, and checked electrical, inspected coil and noticed it is starting to rust. Checked blower wheel and components, checked delta t, checked refrigerant pressures, checked capacitor and contactor, forced defrost. Unit is normal operation.

Repaired damaged ductwork in the home. First, identified the sections with leaks and damage by using a duct leakage tester to pinpoint airflow issues. Removed the damaged sections and replaced them with new 28-gauge sheet metal and mastic sealant for secure and airtight joints. Used metalized duct tape to reinforce seams. Insulated the repaired sections with fiberglass insulation to prevent energy loss. Conducted a thorough system test to ensure proper airflow and efficiency, checking for any remaining leaks with a smoke pencil. Provided the customer with a detailed report on the repair and recommendations for future maintenance.
Did an early QA on a new trane 2stage gas furnace with heat pump. Check the cleanliness of all the wires and connections. So bubbled the gas line to check for leaks started the gas furnace and adjusted gas pressure for the first and second stages. Checked the flue piping and checked the drain lines. Checked the control board for proper set up and checked the thermostat for set up. Checked outdoor level and the disconnect level made sure all penetrations are caulked and tested heat pump mode and AC mode on outdoor unit. Talk with the customer to see if he had any questions. The new system looks good. It’s up and running at this time of service.
Return visit to continue troubleshooting second floor (across elevator) unit. Bill from service department installed electrical switch. Cycle unit compressor would not start check starting amps 23 amps. Check windings resistance and to ground ok. Check capacitor ok 15 mfd Tried super boost still compressor will draw 23 amps but would not start. Unit needs new compressor. Bill from service will contact manufacturer. Meantime he will replace unit.
Arrived to replace parts. Upon arrival before any repairs noticed 3 amp fuse was blown no power to control board. Check low voltage loads ok. Checked all wiring ok installed new 3 amp fuse and test operation ok cycle ac unit ok. Thermostat for this unit is located on second floor hallway right above where air handler is located. Talked to bill about what we did today.
