Provided estimate to install whole house he humidifier 600 M. System does not have any electrical surge protection. Customer finish basement couple years and has no water sensor around furnace. Provided estimate for all these details.
(Second floor service plan only) performed gas heat tune under service plan for second floor gas furnace, check electrical low and high voltage connections and components, clean sensor inspect igniter. Check limits. And pressure switches. Customer takes care of humidifier did not service humidifier. Amp draw in ecm blower and two stage inducer. Check first and second stage perform combustion test on furnace. Inspect heat exchanger and perform safety test. Two of the cells have big cracks and size of cracks are bigger than manufacture tolerance. Took photos of cracks and showed to customer. For insurance purposes we are force to red tagged furnace and provide options for repairs. Customer owns equipment and can do anything they want. From now on it’s customer responsibility of they continue running furnace under this condition. Potentially exhaust gases leaking into home. Turned electrical off to furnace. Tony to come out later on today to provide estimate on replacement.
Perform precision heat tuneup on Lennox, gas, furnace and Lennox mini split heat pump system. Replace 16 x 25 x 1“ air filter on gas furnace. Cleaned washable filters on Lennox mini split heat pump system check temperature rise on both systems clean flame sensor. Found a lot of dust in the ductwork and recommended an Apco UV air purifier. Also found no surge protection on mini split heat pump system provided estimate to install AG 3000 surge protector. Perform combustion test both systems are working at time of service.
Perform tuneup on oil, fired, furnace, vacuumed chimney base and flue section of furnace as well as brushed passages inside the furnace and vacuumed out burner box, replaced filter, nozzle strainer, and bled unit. tested temperature rise across the unit and checked filter, which was clean recently replaced by customer. Perform combustion analysis and smoke test as well as draft test. No issues with unit at this time.
Perform tuneup on three systems starting with the first floor system gas furnace ran system and heating mode and checked combustion and gas pressures as well as all related ignition components and checked and cleaned claim sensor and hot servers igniter. Went to the basement system and checked unit and heating mode and examined, indoor coil, indoor blower motor and indoor heat strips as well as temperature split across unit, outdoor unit and all electrical and mechanical components, including compressor and outdoor van motor and refrigerant pressure. Last system for the third floor was in the attic and ran system and heating mode and checked Combustion and gas pressures as well as ignition components indoor blower motor and change filters for all three units. No issues with units at this time.
Perform precision heat tuneup on two train gas furnaces. 501 air filter on basement system is OK. Electronic air cleaner in attic is also OK. Checked all electrical connections and components. Check temperature rise on both systems. Clean flame sensors check resistance readings on hot service igniters. Checked both humidifiers were clean. Heat exchanger was replaced in 2023 on first floor gas furnace. Both systems are working fine at time of service.
Perform precision heat tuneup on 13 year-old York heat pump system. Replaced 16 x 20 by one air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components. Check temperature rise and only had a 16° temperature rise with only 84° air coming out of the system. Check refrigerant pressures at outdoor unit. Found head pressure going as high as 394 psi over 83. Possible malfunctioning outdoor txv valve. Also, after checking over the history system does leak refrigerant . Would recommend replacement of heat pump system. At this time, heat pump is keeping temperature by bouncing off of auxiliary heat to assist it. Called daughter Paulette and explained situation, she is going to talk to her husband and give us a call. Heat pump is not working correctly at this time.
Perform precision heat tuneup on 2019 Amana high-efficiency gas furnace. Replaced 16 x 25 x 1“ air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components clean flame sensor. Check gas, pressure. Used soap and soaked all fittings at gas, furnace, and all around gas valve and gas valve body, also soaked fittings over at water heater in same room. Found no gas leaks. Also found that when gas furnace shut off did not find any gas bleeding past gas valve working correctly at Thomas service. Check temperature rise. Perform combustion test. Found finished basement with no water protection at furnace , provided estimate to install wet switch in case of a water leak to shut down system.
No heat, gas furnace. Checked operation of account arrival found unit on EE0 ignition problem. Found out that the gas valve got stuck close check resistance on coil open windings. Move on and off Toggle switch to try to get the unit to unfreeze. I was able to get valve to read resistance cycle heater couple times ok. Furnace is working for now. We will need to come back and replace gas valve to ensure proper operation of furnace. Part should be under manufacturer warranty, but not the labor and acquisition fees. Provided estimate to replace the gas valve. Customer wants to talk to husband and will get back to us tomorrow morning. They are aware that could fail anytime this is just a temporary fix that I was able to perform for tonight.
Arrived at call for no heat, found inducer motor not working at all tested voltage to motor and no voltage was present even though a call for heat was at the board. Tested voltage to board with a good 120 V but no power was passing through board to the component, meaning the board has failed. One of the relays in the board is most likely the culprit so I gave them a slight tap each with a screwdriver and eventually got the inducer motor to start and run so he had heat for the night estimate has been sent to replace the board as it will have the same problem again. Customer declined and said he will order the board off-line and do it himself
Completed full assessment of home, took pictures and thermal images, along with measurements to build proposal, spent a large amount of time, talking with the homeowner about all of the different changes that have been done to the house, as well as all of the different contractors that have been here to do things. Will formulate a plan and proposal this week and touch base with him by Friday at the latest.

Set new unit on new pad and leveled. Installed new disconnect box and sealed to wall. Adapted lineset to unit. Brazed pressure tested evacuated and charged unit. Made all high and low voltage connections to unit. Performed all test out procedures cleaned all work areas and reviewed installation with homeowner

Flushed the drain lines and furnace traps and inspected the condensate pump on the 1st floor . Inspected the burners and flame sensors and cleaned . Inspected both flue pipes for leaks and bellies. checked the thermostats in heating mode and checked the gas pressures and the furnace safeties. checked the motor amps on the inducer operation and blower motors. Took indoor heat temp rise and tested for combustion on both units . Both furnaces are in good working order at this time of service.
Installed new trane 90% gas furnace and A/C coil. Adapted supply and built new return drop with aprilare 2410 filter. Tapped/ caulked return and supply. Adapted flus and gas line. Reused existing humidifier and humidistat. Adapted high volt and installed new outlet and switch with surge protector. Ran new condensate line with ez trap and reused existing condensate pump and vinyl tubing. Reused thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Ran new line set with low volt wiring to equipment. Installed new leveled pad for outdoor unit. Installed new disconnect with surge protector for outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment. Waiting on outdoor unit. Unable to perform task associated with cooling.

Replace thermostat under warranty. Went upstairs and attic and checked all the safeties and all the low-voltage. Found 28 V at the thermostat base but Honeywell T6 pro Wi-Fi thermostat display has failed. Had a thermostat on the truck replaced under warranty and tested out AC. System is working fine again at time of service.

How many mentioned that every once in a while he still does have an oil smell did not see any oil leaking anywhere or present around the furnace. 25 25 x 4“ air filter is clean. Serviced paperware humidifier with number 35 humidifier pad. Replaced car spin on oil filter and bleed. All electoral connections and components. Replaced .60 by a nozzle. Check draft perform smoke and combustion test. Will furnace is working fine at time of service.
