Reasons Why Your Air Conditioner Isn’t Turning On

On hot summer days, you rely on your air conditioner to provide much-needed relief from the heat. But, what happens if your unit doesn’t turn on? If the temperature in your house is climbing and yet your AC unit isn’t kicking on, it can signal a problem that requires emergency AC repairs to restore comfort to your house.

When emergency contractors arrive at your house, they will check for the typical culprits that cause an air conditioner to fail to start, including:

  • A malfunctioning thermostat.
  • A clogged air filter.
  • A tripped circuit breaker.
  • A blocked condensate drain.

If your unit isn’t turning on, and the temperature inside your house is rising, call our experts for emergency AC repairs.

Is Your House Hot, Even With a Running AC? Find Out Why

When your air conditioner runs, you expect your house to cool to the setting on the thermostat. But, what if it’s running but your house isn’t cooling off? Or worse yet, what if it isn’t even producing cool air?

This can indicate you need central air conditioning repairs.

Our AC contractors will perform an inspection to determine the cause of the problem, including checking your refrigerant levels. If you have a refrigerant leak and don’t have the right amount of refrigerant in your system, your air conditioner will not be able to fully cool your house to the ideal temperature.

If the refrigerant levels are OK, then the technicians will look to see if it’s caused by a larger problem. Call our contractors at DiBiase Heating and Cooling Company to schedule services.

Don’t wait to fix your AC until it’s in your budget. Ask us about our financing options!

Ductless Mini Split AC System Replacements: Signs to Watch For

Do you need to replace your existing ductless mini-split AC system? There are numerous factors our AC contractors look at when determining if you need to install a new unit. One of the most important ones is the age of the unit. If it’s getting older and nearing the end of its lifespan, then it can be more cost-effective to replace it rather than pay for repairs.

Other factors they will consider are how often the system is breaking down, if your energy bills have been increasing, if there is uneven cooling in your house, if there are strange sounds coming from the system, and if there are signs of a refrigerant leak.

Is Your Furnace Due For a Tune-up? Symptoms to Watch For

Did you forget to schedule your annual furnace tune-up? The good news is that you can always schedule these routine services with our furnace contractors. If you can’t remember when your system is due for maintenance services, there are signs you can watch for within the system.

Some symptoms that can indicate your unit needs maintenance services are:

  • Your utility bills are increasing. This can indicate the unit is operating inefficiently.
  • Your system is making strange noises.
  • Your house is not warming to the setting on the thermostat.
  • You have uneven heating in your house.

If you notice these symptoms, call DiBiase Heating and Cooling Company for furnace repair services. We are Delaware County’s trusted furnace service company.

Reasons Your Heat Pump Is Making Strange Sounds

Is your heat pump starting to make strange noises that you’re pretty sure it wasn’t making before? While heating systems can make odd sounds now and then during normal operation, if they start making new, strange sounds, it can indicate there is a problem.

When you call to schedule repairs, our contractors will likely ask you what types of sounds your unit is making. This can inform them of the potential problem. For example, grinding, rattling, or banging can signal a mechanical issue with your unit.

Call our technicians as soon as you hear odd sounds to schedule repairs.
