Excellent Service!
Betty Stocks and Rebecca Collings - Walstonburg, NC 27888
Ricardo is professional, personable and very knowledgeable. During his visit, he maintained three distinctly different systems of varying makes, models and ages. He replaced a capacitor in one and recommended a Soft Start Kit to extend the lifetime of a compressor in the oldest system. He treated us with respect while explaining the condition of each unit. I highly recommend Ricardo and the entire Jackson and Sons team.

Upon arrival tech was thermostat was not working. Tech found VP8000 showing double dash on screen and error code indicating a faulty sensor. Tech pulled faceplate off wall and reinstalled which cleared error. Tech checked thermostat reading and is reading accurately. Gave system a cooling call and temperatures are within a good range. Tech made estimate to replace thermostat and customer wanted to wait for now. Informed customer that it could happen again and could not guarantee how long it would stay operational. Emailed estimate for new thermostat to customer. System is back operational for now.

Tech confirmed unit is unlevel. Looks like some soil needs to be removed from under outer edge underneath package unit to allow a better drain angle. Tech quoted housecall and unit leveling out of the book. Customer was surprised by quote. Says she was told there would be no charge due to it being our install. Monica verified quote. Customer approved quote for leveling unit. Tech removed about 20 bricks from back exterior corner of package unit and rearranged so unit sits much closer to level. Tech observed better drainage flow after adjustments. There is a tree near unit and root system was pushing upwards on exterior rear corner of unit. Tech moved as many bricks as possible with only one tech and a shovel. Got before and after pics.

Ductwork Repairs: During evaluation of the client's HVAC system, I detected air leaks in the ductwork, leading to energy losses and reduced efficiency. Sealing these leaks minimized energy losses and enhanced HVAC system efficiency.

Tech preformed CMA FULL SERVICE on 5 Gas Package Units and 4 Split Heat Pump Systems. Upon arrival tech was asked to look check thermostat for sanctuary( Gas Package #2) stating members where having a difficult time setting schedule on thermostat. Tech checked thermostat and schedule editing. Tech found that display touchscreen is not operating properly. And functions on the outer edge of touchscreen do work but any functions in the middle of the touchscreen do not work. Tech was approved replaced thermostat and set schedule for Sunday. Gas Package #1, #2, #4, and #5 are operating within specifications at this time. Gas Package Unit #3 does operate in cool mode but tech found multiple challenges with the heat side of system. Inducer motor and face plate have severe rust. Tech also found holes in heat exchanger. Condenser fan and capacitor are also beginning to fail and contactor is dark and pitted. Due to age and multiple challenges with system tech recommends replacement over repair.

Costumer requested to add R410a refrigerant to the system. System indicated low charge and costumer approved adding 4lbs of R410a refrigerant to the system. Refrigerant level differences are on file. Supply temperature of 47 degrees after charging the system. An estimate for AC leak freeze was provided but costumer declined at this time. Tech educated the homeowner about our maintenance plans and decided to invest into a monthly Premium agreement. Costumer is interested on system replacement but would like to speak with her son prior to schedule a visit from our field supervisor. Costumer will call in when they are ready for the quote.

Tech performed ESA on 1 system. Tech found no challenges with system operation, tech did find system in level, not allowing water to drain properly out of drain pan, a decent amount of rust has formed and system is only 3 years old. May need to send install team out to adjust system. Check and see if we installed system, no recent installation in previous invoices. Delta T was only 15 degrees, when install team comes out, pressures may need to be checked. System back up and running upon departure.
