Potential warning signs from your heating system can be more than just a chilly feeling on a cold morning. If the furnace has a traditional pilot light, check to see if the flame is lit. If you have a heat pump, check your thermostat settings to ensure it is set to “Auto”. • Warm airflow through vents is weak. The HVAC system’s air filter may be clogged. Many do-it-yourselfers can visibly check the condition of the air filter and replace it with a clean filter if necessary.
