I did request to be called once the technician determined the issues; however at 12:30 pm I called Jackson & Sons to get a report as the technician did not reach me by phone! Understand from his notes (per Joy) that he completed the service and heat was working upon completion! Great!

Jackson and Sons never disappoints. Their technicians are knowledgeable and very professional. Jackson and Sons sends you a bio of the technician before they enter your home. Our a/c stopped working after hours this week. I called Jackson and Son’s and they sent someone out to fix it at 8:00 pm. We have been doing business with them for 20 plus years. They are the BEST!

Ricardo did a relatively quick and efficient maintenance check on my heating and air conditioning unit, pronounced it fit and ready to maintain temperature in my home, and even did a thorough cleaning on the unit. I found him to be intelligent, attentive, and soft spoken, all very desirable qualities in one so young. He helps renew an old man's faith in the new generation!

I called on Sunday afternoon to leave a message and was very thankful to talk with an actual person. She took my information and forwarded to weekend technician; he called me within 10 minutes and stated he could go to the residence immediately. I was very appreciative of this service due to extreme temperatures. Once he determined the problem, he called to report the findings. Permission was given by phone to repair the unit.

Technician found oil furnace not engaged. Upon further inspection technician found nozzle was clogged. Technician replaced nozzle system started up with no issues. Technician cycled multiple times system started up every time. Nozzle is 1.00 B70

Tech washed and serviced unit and found air handler to not be equipped with ez trap or primary float switch tech notified customer and explained importance customer would like quote sent and will look into having it done. Tech found down stairs evaporator coil to be severely rusted but could not find any leaks at this time. All 4 units are heating and cooling efficiently. Tech informed customer about PSA renewal and uv light bulbs.

Tech washed and serviced unit and found evap coil to be slightly rusted but no leaks at this time unit is up heating properly at this time. Tech installed blue vent regulator cap tech was unable to check crawlspace due to not being able to get the door off.

Tech found flame not igniting due to no gas. Tech found regulator frozen and thawed. System is back heating. Customer has a maintenance scheduled for next week, we will need to bring a blue vent cap to install on regulator to keep it from freezing.

System set and satisfied at 62 upon arrival. Cycled system, defrost, and heat strips with no challenges at first. Noticed loose temp sensor connection at defrost control board causing intermittent issues. System brought temperature from 62, to 65 within service period. Invested in ESA (1) system. Schedule 1st visit.

Tech performed ESA and replaced filter. System is an older system past average life expectancy but components are testing good at this time. Heat exchangers are rusty but no cracks, tech also verified 0ppm CO levels inside the home. Tech found electrical and burner compartments are corroded. Customer is not interested in replacing system at this time. UV bulb is also blown, customer does not want to replace, tech sent estimate.

Tech found system tripping on high limit due to blower not running. Tech found capacitor reading 0. Tech replaced blower capacitor and found normal heat operation. Tech recommended a maintenance plan, customer is interested in a monthly ESA, but wants to wait until home is completely renovated.

- Tech found failing defrost control board upon arrival. Confirmed 24v through low and high pressure switch, but no 24v from the contactor relay on the defrost board. Seems to be getting stuck and should be replaced. Customer approved part order. - Found disconnected 6” flex supplying the utility room vent. Customer approved repair. - Found failed 10MFD blower capacitor and replaced for testing. Found blower motor drawing 3.11 amps with FLA rated for 3 amps and overheating. Advised customer and recommended a system replacement over motor replacement. Customer opted to replace the blower motor and try run the system for a few more years. - Replaced blower motor, capacitor, reconnected the utility room duct, brushed the evaporator coil, and cleaned the drain pan. Customer invested in a monthly premium service agreement for one split system. - Customer opted to leave the defrost control board as is, until the replacement board is installed. System is operating normally at this time w

Tech serviced unit. Upon arrival tech went to turn on water spicket and no water came out. Tech asked customer if they have a water pump. Customer claimed the water spickets “aren’t hooked up”. Tech examined both water spickets and found no water for both . Tech informed customer about plumbing department and claimed “he will let the home owner know. Tech faced no challenges this visit. Tech found kitchen vent no putting out air. Tech informed customer and showed two vents in comparison. Unit is heating and cooling efficiently.

- Tech found failed blower motor on Carrier packaged heat pump installed in May, 2023. - Tech installed a temporary PSC motor until OEM part is installed under contractor warranty. OEM motor is 3/4hp; tech did not have proper size and installed a 1/2hp motor and advised customer to avoid over working the undersized motor. Motor is drawing 3.28 amps, rated for 2.9 amps. Set to medium speed on load side of the contactor and reversed polarity wires to confirm proper rotation. - System is operating normally at this time with temperatures reading 68.9/ 100.8 without heat strips.
