Customer stated heat pump not working, tech found fuse link for heat strip broken, tech replaced and found thermostat was programmed for gas not allowing condenser to run and only run heat strips. While on site customer stated dual fuel system had also stopped working, tech inspected and found inducer motor Mount broken and gas turned off, tech fixed mount and turned gas on and cycled system with no challenges. No charge per recent visits and repairs.

Upon arrival, tech found fault code 34 for failure to prove flame. Examined gas pressures and noted only 3.42” WC at gas valve inlet and dropping down to 1.21” WC when pressure stabilized. Inspected propane tank and found 0 PSI on pressure gauge. Customer stated that the tank was filled to 50% in December. - Tech suspects there’s a leak in the gas line and advised customer to contact a gas company to perform a leak search. Tech shut gas off at the propane tank and at the shutoff valve for the furnace. - Attempted search for leaks between regulator and gas valve but could not search properly due to low pressure. Adjusted temperature cutout limit on heat pump from 40 degrees to 20 degrees until the system is repaired - Tech observed gas valve opening when 24V call is received but not providing enough pressure to ignite, resulting in non-combusted gas entering the air stream through missing/broken seals on the door panels, creating a gas scent in the left half of the home. - Recommende

Found a r22 29 year old goodman split system low on refrigerant charge and stuck on cool mode while the heat strips are operating. Tech by passed the board to straight wire the reversing valve and unplugged the fan to build enough pressure to have the reversing valve to switch over but did not move. Tech shut off power to the condenser at the breaker and left the system in aux heat, tech did advised the tenant to not have the aux heat operating for too long to prevent high electric bills. Tenant did mentioned to the tech that there’s a room on the opposite side of the house that is ether hot or cold, and tech mentioned that adding a small return will help. Field supervisor will contact Mr. John Carter to provide a solution. System is down, reversing valve has failed and indoor coil is corroded.

Customer stated condenser fan will stop running and system keeps running, tech brought customer outside and cycled defrost and customer stated that is what she was seeing. Tech explained defrost cycle and operation to customer, system is operating properly with no challenges.

Collected a service call today. Customer is going to reschedule for us to come back out with Norman’s blue machine to be able to clear the kitchen sink drain line. Quoted the lady a level two drain cleaning to clear the kitchen sink drain line.

Tech washed and serviced unit, no challenges found at today’s visit. Customer is interested in replacing ductwork and changing location. Delta T is poor in rooms toward the end of duct work. Requested field supervisor schedule and come quote. Unit has a delta T of 28.

Upon arrival tech found gas disconnected and locked, gas company was on site and checking for leaks, tech cycled system once gas company finished and found low side gas pressure on 9.8, tech adjusted to 6.5 and high side to 10.5. System is now operating properly with no challenges.

Replaced breaker and emailed bill for breaker; customer will settle payment for breaker on Wednesday. - Collected for blower motor and condenser motor. Recommended system replacement and advised customer that the system is aged and may need further major repairs; customer acknowledged. System is operating normally at this time.

Upon arrival tech found system running without challenge. Eventually blower motor cut off due to failing blower relay. Tech replaced relay and tested, blower came back on without challenge. Blower motor is currently running max rated amps at 2.5. Recommended replacing blower motor as well. Also found condenser fan motor and dual run capacitor testing weak. Recommended replacing. Found that when heat strip breaker was reset it was only sending 20v through. Firmly reset breaker and heat strips are back on. Recommended replacing breaker as well. System is back up and heating. Also mentioned the consideration of a replacement unit with all recommended repairs. Office to adjust bill according to family discount.

Found dual fuel gas heat locked out. Reset ignition control board and found system attempting to ignite but no gas pressure at outlet. Found 1” of gas at supply inlet. Also found soot around burners and cabinet indicating system has been running with a low gas pressure. Found tank empty in yard. Informed customer to call gas company. Wired for heat pump to run without locking out in cold weather in the mean time. Stated to customer to call us after gas company comes out to verify operation of gas heat and correct wiring. Install warranty.

Customer stated propane tank has had to be refilled from full within one month. Tech thoroughly checked for gas leaks at unit and line at unit and found no leaks. Gas pack is operating properly with correct gas pressures. Recommended to customer to call gas company and have them come out to check further line for any leak.

(2004 R-22 Amana packaged heat pump) - Tech found failed heat sequencer upon arrival, prohibiting the heat strips from operating; thermostat satisfied at 75 degrees. Replaced sequencer and confirmed operation of heat strips with approval from REA. - Noted blower motor capacitor reading below tolerance reading 5.21, rated for 10MFD. Customer opted not to replace during this visit. - Observed thermostat intermittently sending 24v call to heat strips with a 7 degree differential and recommended replacing the thermostat. Customer opted not to replace at this time. Also recommend replacing the contactor and defrost control board. Confirmed defrost cycle is operational. - System is aged and in poor condition; recommend replacing if a major repair is needed. System is operating normally at this time.

- Tech found failed heat strip fuse link on American standard (right side) system and replace with approval from customer. This system is operating normally. Confirmed defrost operation. - Confirmed air flow, gas pressure, static pressure, clean air filter and advised and evaporator coil, proper draft inducer operation, flame sensor/igniter, and clean burners on Bryant duel fuel system. Limit switch is failed and needs to be replaced. Customer approved part order. The heat pump on the dual fuel is set to 40 degree cutout and will not operate in current weather conditions. - Customer inquired about upgrading thermostat. Tech built two estimates; customer will confer with wife. American standard system is operating normally at this time. Advised customer the Bryant is partially operational.

Upon arrival tech found gurgling, noise coming from system due to clogged buildup in EZ trap. Cleared line and noise is now gone. Recommended investing in ESA. May call into office in a couple of weeks to invest.
