Tech found only 1 heat strip bank running. Heat sequencer was only passing voltage on 1 level. Customer approved replacing sequencer. Tech replaced sequencer and found normal heat operation. Tech also found secondary voltage out of the transformer was only 18 volts with the proper 240 line voltage. Transformer calls for 24v secondary voltage. Tech also recommends replacing thermostat as this style thermostat is unreliable, outdated and inaccurate. Customer has no AC only a heat only electric furnace. Tech informed customer the 1 year warranty only covers the sequencer and sent estimates for thermostat and transformer. System is heating properly at this time on both elements, 119 degree supply. Customer has no email and wants mailed reciept

Upon arrival tech found rollout switch open, inspected heat exchanger and found no cracks. Switch would not reset and is very old. Bypassed switch for testing purposes and monitored operation. System attempted to ignite but would not light. Tech found gas valve receiving enough supply at inlet but only supplying 3.5” at outlet. Gas valve is failing. Will need to inform field supervisor.

Tech performed service on trane split system. Tech informed customer about poor ductwork. Customer was already aware of ductwork. No further action was taken. Customer upgraded maintenance plan. Customer also requested tech to come for all future maintenances. Delta t is within specification and customer is satisfied with today’s service. Found no other challenges at todays visit.

Tech found outdoor fan running while in defrost due to failed defrost control board. Tech returned and replaced Oem defrost control. Tech found no further issues after completion of repair.

Found customer hit his main sewer line coming through the brick of the side of the house and chopped the top portion of it off. Customer does not want to break open any brick at this time and is going to be looking for a handyman to try to patch the top of the pipe.

Upon arrival tech found low voltage fuse blown, replaced 5 amp fuse and tested system. Isolated all low voltage wiring to test for short. Tech energized every low voltage component and wire and found nothing shorted. Cycled system several times in heat and cool mode to attempt to blow fuse. Tech could not duplicate challenge. Did find low voltage polarized plug on AFC with a loose connection. Secured plug. System is back up and heating.

Upon arrival tech found air handler at attic only receiving 70v. Breaker at main panel has failed and is not supplying correct voltage. Do not have this style breaker on truck stock. Informed office, have not heard back from supply. Will need to return with breaker once received.

Unit 2 Tech found outdoor fan locked up and not allowing airflow through coils. Tech approval for replacement of fan motor. System is now back on and operating properly at this time. Unit 1 tech found system runs perfect until defrost activates which allows fan to keep running and not defrost system properly. Tech got approval to order and replace defrost control board. Will need to keep in touch with timeframe. System is still heating off emergency heat at this time.

GAS FURNACE #2 BLOWOR MOTOR CAPACITOR RATED FOR 15mf TESTED WEAK AND IS DUE FOR FAILURE. TECH RETURNED TO REPLACE BLOWOR MOTOR CAPACITORS FOR SPLIT SYSTEMS #2 AND #3. REPLACEMENT OF CAPACITORS WERE APPROVED ON 2/6/2025. THERE ARE PICTURES OF REPLACEMENT ATTACHED TO THIS INVOICE.

Technician found condenser was frozen. Technician found defrost sensor was not secured on copper line properly. Technician resecured sensor and cycled defrost would engage. Technician also melted ice build up. System is operating properly at this time.

Tech ran upstairs system and found condenser not making a noise at this time, found evidence of ice buildup that was larger before causing fan blade to hit ice buildup on condensing coil. Tech removed remaining ice and monitored system operation. Found system defrosting fine, sensors ohmed within spec. Refrigerant pressures are within spec. Found restricted air filter inside and partially dirty condensing coil causing lack of airflow across coil encouraging ice buildup. Recommend changing air filter and having coil cleaned or investing in maintenance agreement. Could not get up with homeowner via phone. Informed office.
