Completed diagnostic. Compressor was not coming on on arrival. Tripped breaker and reset. Compressor turned on. Capacitor is good amps are high but within range. System is low on Freon. Leaking out of evap coil. Running on r22 which has been phased out. Due to age and cost of repairs suggest replacing system. Customer just wants filled right now. Confirmed with customer that compressor is giving out and will not last long as well as Freon will leak back out.
Found drain line very clogged. Cleared drain line. System has no back up water safety. Customer is selling home. System cooling at this time.
Found cracked drain pan from install. Need to replace pan under warranty
Arrived on site to preform at one system tuneup. Indoor; changed filter and cleared drain line. Checked electrical connections, amp draw and capacitance. Recommend installing secondary water safety switch. Outdoor; checked refrigerant pressures, electrical connections, amp draw and capacitance. Unit is operating normally at this time
Completed diagnostic. Found previous tech had not charged system all the way. Was slightly low on pressure with a higher than target super heat. Charged system to correct super heat. Ran for 10 min with super heat staying on target. System cooling properly.
No cool. Found system low on r22. System has a leak. Due to age and condition of system, recommend replacing system with something more reliable and more efficient. Customer only wants system recharged for now and understands refrigerant will leak back out again. Recharged system with r22 provided by customer. System is cooling at this time.
No cool 14 year old ruud system. Find system freezing up. Find suction freezing up and almost empty of charge. Find valve damage, compressor over amping reading 14/12 read. Find Airhandler very dirty and coil rusted and drain line dirty. Due to system age, and conditions, suggest to replace system. Customer need customer need consultation visit. Customer also want to add R22 so they can have some cooling. R22 will leak out again.

Removed upstairs evaporator coil, replaced with new evaporator coil. Pressure tested and flushed system with nitrogen. Pulled a vacuum to 300 microns to remove all moisture and assure there is no more leak. System is cooling normal at this time.
Arrived on site, found refrigerant system low on charge, (sub-cool at 5°) charged unit to manufacturer specs (9°), checked temp split. Unit is operating normally at this time
No cool. Need to replace unit because compressor is going bad and system has a unit replacement warranty. Ordered condenser through east coast, will take at least 3 business days to arrive. Will call customer to schedule once condenser comes in.
3 system cooling pm check complete. Changed filters. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Found all three systems water safety code compliant but with no backup. Recommend overflow protection switches to help protect furnaces from potential water damage and to serve as a backup to primary water safety. Found side house system with weak capacitor (35/5 uf), recommend repair. Recommend hard start kits to reduce load on compressors so they start smoother, run smoother and therefore last longer. Recommend surge protection to protect equipment from power surges. Replaced side house dual capacitor. Systems are cooling at this time.
Completed diagnostic. Found outdoor unit very dirty with big layer of debris choking system and not cooling very well. Cleaned off system. Pressures check out good. All electrical components are good. Signed customer up on maintenance plan. Both furnaces 6 years old with clean blowers and working capacitor. Upstairs coil is slightly rusty and corrosive. Main coil is 3 years old and clean. Cleared drain lines and changed filters. Cleaned both outdoor units. Pressures are good on both.
Three system ac pm check complete. Changed filters. Tested mechanical and electrical components. Upstairs drain line was totally clogged. Unclogged drain line and added drain pan treatment strips into all 3 systems. Found upstairs system with weak dual capacitor (45/5 uf) and pitting on main electrical switch, recommend repair. Upstairs system’s water safety is code compliant but has no backup, recommend installing overflow protection switch to help protect furnace from potential water damage and to serve as a backup to primary water safety switch. Upstairs evaporator coil is rusty and corroded and likely to leak. Recommend hard start kits to be installed on systems to take a load off compressors so they start smoother, run smoother and therefore last longer. Recommend surge protection to protect equipment from power surges. Chemically washed condenser coils. Systems are cooling at this time.
No cool upstairs system. Found system off on a locked rotor code. Found weak dual capacitor, replaced and reset system. Found system with high head pressure due to dirty condenser coil. Cleaned condenser coil. System is cooling at this time. If problem happens again, we my need to replace unit under compressor warranty. Parts are under warranty, labor is not.

System low on refrigerant recommend to perform leak search. Found contactor burnt and pitted recommend to replace. Client request only secondary motor controller be replaced and refrigerant be adjusted to correct levels.
Arrived on site, found outdoor unit off at breaker. Turned on and breaker immediately tripped, reset and it tripped breaker at main panel. Tested compressor windings and found it grounded. Will need to get consultant out to quote on new equipment.
Arrived on site, found t-stat screen broken so you cant read anything, outside found bad capacitor. Replaced capacitor and unit started operating normally.
Arrived on site, found upstairs system not cooling. Found outdoor unit not running due to bad capacitor. Replaced capacitor, but system is still not preforming optimally due to lack of maintenance.
No cool upstairs system. Check and find system operating at this time. Find ac unit capacitor weak and low Charge. Recharge system to manufacturer spec and replace manufacturer warranty capacitor. Suggest hard start kit for ac unit, customer declined. System operating at this time.
