Job WO-TNFR664976 involved correcting improper condensate drain line installation, which caused standing water. The existing piping was removed and repiped to ensure proper drainage. After testing, the condensate system functioned correctly. Additionally, the HVAC thermostat was found to be non-responsive, prompting a recommendation for replacement to ensure reliable system operation and temperature control.
Made up parts list
I completed a thorough inspection and maintenance of the air conditioning unit. The system was charged to the correct pressures, and I installed a dedicated wire for the outdoor thermostat. I verified the unit's functionality in heating, cooling, and emergency heat modes, ensuring all components operated as intended. The system is now fully operational and efficient.
Completed full HVAC system installation including Goodman furnace unit in basement mechanical room and outdoor condensing unit on rooftop. Installed copper refrigerant line set with proper insulation running from rooftop equipment to indoor unit, secured linesets with appropriate bends and routing through gravel pad on roof surface. Mounted furnace with proper clearances from walls, connected white PVC condensate drain lines and black supply ductwork to unit, verified all manufacturer labels and safety placards visible and intact for future reference.
Completed warranty replacement of outdoor condensing unit, indoor evaporator coil, and lineset, converting system from R-410A to R-32 refrigerant. Verified system pressures and temperatures using refrigerant manifold gauges post-installation. Customer was advised of existing voltage irregularities from power grid that could affect future warranty coverage and informed that buck-boost transformer installation is available as separate option to address power quality concerns.
We addressed an issue with water leaking from an air handler that had not been resolved previously. During operation, water dripped from the unit, and the pipe before the trap remained dry until the unit was shut off, at which point a small amount of water was retrieved from the drain. After several attempts, the trap was cleared, and the drain was found to exit about 5 inches below the mulch. To resolve this, we repiped the drain from the unit to the outside above the mulch bed and adjusted the unit's pitch to aid drainage. Additionally, we recommended installing a secondary drain pan measuring 8 feet by 3 feet under the return duct, as there was insufficient space to place it under the air handler.
No AC. Found AC voltage distributor failed. Also, she had let me know of the past service calls. Her system has an active leak. Another company just filled the system up. Ran unit to check operations. Found system compressor failed as well. Found the leak at the TXV inside at the evaporator coil. Quoted her for all the repairs and had our field supervisor come to give her a estimate on replacement. She is having is come out to install on Monday. Customer also signed up for Gold Club to be applied to the new system being installed Monday
Completed comfort call for air conditioning system experiencing extended cooling times. Homeowner confirmed air filters have been recently changed. Inspected Goodman outdoor condensing unit and electrical panel, documented equipment condition with photos. Recommended follow-up diagnostic service to identify cause of reduced cooling efficiency and advised checking warranty coverage before proceeding with repairs.

I’ve come to expect great service from Moon Air, today was no exception. Liz was courteous, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He took the time to explain each detail of the routine maintenance performed, made recommendations for the most cost effective approach to replacing part of our system that is due for replacement and even contacted the existing manufacturer to see if anything was still under warranty. This level of service is extremely rare today and why I stick with MoonAir. Highly recommend both Koz and this company. Shop local!
