Combatting "Cross-Wind" Thermal Loss & Rural Particulate Control

In the open, elevated landscapes surrounding Lincoln University, your home is more than just a building—it is a pressurized vessel fighting against the elements. The high-altitude winds of southern Chester County act as a vacuum, pulling heat out of your home in the winter and forcing humid "heavy" air inside during the summer. Moon Air is the specialized HVAC contractor in Lincoln University, PA, providing the high-tech shielding your home needs to stay efficient and comfortable.

Need our out-of-this-world service? Call 410-392-9350 or reach out online.

The Thermal Envelope: Plugging the Leaks

Most homes in the 19352 area lose a staggering 30% of their conditioned air before it even reaches a vent. As your HVAC contractor in Lincoln University, PA, we solve this with Aeroseal Technology. We inject a specialized, non-toxic vapor into your ductwork that "finds" every microscopic crack behind your drywall. It’s like a rescue mission for your energy bill, sealing your system from the inside out and ensuring every BTU you pay for stays in your living space.

The Breathe-Easy Protocol

Living in a beautiful rural corridor means your HVAC system’s "lungs" are constantly inhaling field dust, pollen, and spores. We move beyond standard filtration with the following:

  • Active Air Scrubbing: Our systems use light-based technology to neutralize "space invaders" (bacteria and viruses) in the air you breathe.

  • Electronic Precipitation: We create a magnetic-like pull that traps particulates as small as 0.3 microns, making your home a sanctuary for anyone with sensitive lungs.

The "Neighbor-First" Service Log

At Moon Air, we lead with empathy and candor. We know our Lincoln University neighbors value a job done right the first time.

  • Upfront Mission Cost: We use flat-rate pricing. The price you see at the start is the price at the finish—no hidden fees, ever.

  • The 100% Guarantee: If the equipment we install doesn’t deliver the "Stellar" comfort we promised, we will remove it and refund your investment in full.

Experience a new era of indoor comfort! Call Moon Air today at 410-392-9350 and see why we are the preferred HVAC contractor in Lincoln University, PA!

Returned to site to inspect HVAC system installation issues identified during previous visit. Found supply plenum improperly attached to air handler with significant air leakage causing duct wrap inflation—flex collar connection should have been installed between duct system and air handler to prevent air escape. Discovered exposed high-voltage electrical wiring terminated with wire nuts and electrical tape while breaker remained energized, creating immediate safety hazard. Identified undersized heat kit installed compared to original equipment specifications. Documented all findings with photographic evidence and recommended immediate correction of plenum connection, proper electrical termination with breaker de-energization during work, and replacement with appropriately sized 15 kW or 20 kW heat kit to match system heating requirements.

Found breaker in panel box tripped upon arrival. Inspected and tested system operation. Diagnostic readings: ●Refrigerant pumping system RLA: 16.4 amps ●Actual compressor amperage: 10.2 amps ●Outdoor heat pump line voltage: 202 volts ●Voltage enhancement system factory specification: 40/5 MFD ●Actual capacitor reading: 39/5 MFD ●Indoor air handler line voltage: 202 volts ● Delta T 20 degrees Recommend having the electrical panel and power supply inspected by a licensed electrician. Proper operating voltage at both the indoor air handler and outdoor heat pump should be approximately 230 volts. Current voltage reading of 202 volts is below manufacturer recommended operating range. Low voltage conditions can lead to poor system performance and may cause premature equipment failure or damage if not corrected. System is currently functioning at the completion of service.

This estimate includes: -removing existing wire from underground conduit running from the main electrical panel to the outdoor pool sub-panel - running a 240 volt circuit using #8THHN wire through existing 3/4” pvc conduit from main panel to sub-panel to provide 50 Amps to sub-panel - installing a 2 Pole 50 Amp overcurrent protection device at main panel - installing a 2 pole 30 Amp GFCI overcurrent protection device at outdoor sub-panel for pool heater - installing conduit from sub-panel to the pool heater - running a 240 volt circuit from sub-panel to pool heater through newly installed conduit/flex conduit. Customer is aware we may need to strap the flex conduit to the fence due to local code requirements - installing a ground rod near sub panel and running appropriate bare copper wire to ensure a true, safe grounded electrical system - making all mechanical connections and terminations to spec to ensure proper operation of the electrical system
